Would you be useful in a zombie apocalypse? What can you bring to the table?

If there is a zombie apocalypse I think I might be in big trouble! Unless I find
an extremely good hiding place.

What is something that everyone looks stupid doing?

Trying to eat sushi gracefully.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?

I love Europe and especially the Czech Republic. I would love to take my
husband there and just get lost in the little streets and drink hot chocolate at
the astronomical clock and go to the national theatre.

If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?

Insulted the cop (gasp!!!).

What's the most ridiculous fact you know?

In our lifetime we spend around 6 years of it dreaming.

What do you think is the biggest trend in the wellness industry at the moment?

Personally, my number 1 trend in the wellness industry is products that
protect our skin against our modern lifestyles where we are exposed to

radiation from our phones and laptops, pollution and harmful rays. Something
else that I think should become trendier is that we should move away from our
fully booked diaries and focus more on self-care and balance.

What is the biggest misconception that people have about acupuncture?

That acupuncture is a painful treatment. Most people are actually very
surprised then they fall asleep during the treatment.

How did you become involved in the wellness/acupuncture industry?

I always had a huge interest in alternative therapies and a holistic approach to
healing. After a personal health issue that couldn’t get resolved with Western
Medicine techniques I got involved with acupuncture and it was an almost
instant cure. This just reinforced the powerful healing ability of acupuncture
and how it can change people’s lives for the better. I am now in the privileged
position to see this first hand in my own practice. The sad part is that I
normally end up with patients who has tried everything else and acupuncture
is their last resort. The other problem is that people are looking for quick fixes
where acupuncture is more a type of lifestyle… like yoga for example.

What’s a must have in your daily wellness routine?

I always add a few drop of tea tree oil in my and my daughter’s bath water
and wherever I go it always goes with me.

What’s your favourite Yungskin product?

If I have to pick one, it will most definitely be the Tissue Oil!

What excites you most about the wellness industry?

The wellness industry is so vast and covers so many aspects. From healthy
eating to exercise, skincare, spa therapies, meditation, self-help, eco-living, to
supplements and relaxation/breathing techniques and so much more. There
is something for everyone. You just need to find your niche and go for it. Not
all of us can be yogis or have time to medicate for 3 hours a day or have the
financial means to have a massage daily. Find something that makes you
happy and that adds wellness in your life.
