Tasha Mentasti

SURF AMBASSADOR

CONNECTING THE DOTS

We were blown away when a world renowned, and local surf champion, ‘dropped in’ and sent Yungskin a message via social media!  A very cool, calm and confident Tasha, after spending well… basically her life as a mermaid, was in need of a little TLC for her sensitive skin.

After one coffee and many stories of adventure and life, we knew – value alignment – tick!

In the words of Tash ‘ I am so stoked and proud to be an ambassador of such a remarkable product that has made my skin very happy’ 🙂

We love you Tash!

What’s your daily skincare routine?

I always starting with the Yungskin Facial Wash, followed by the Yungskin Toner and then I apply the Yungskin Suncare instead of the Day Cream since I am always in the sun. I like to use the Yungskin Exfoliator after a long day on the beach and the Yungskin Food has become an integral part of my daily ritual.

What’s your favourite Yungskin product?

The Yungskin Suncare product is my favourite along with the Yungskin Tissue Oil.

What’s surprising about you?

People always seem to come across surprised by my age, either surfing has kept me looking young or I don’t act my age – you decide. Either way I am having fun and living a life with purpose and happiness and full of surf stoke.

What are you most passionate about and why?

My current passion project is Adaptive Surfing – this is a new sport whereby people with various disabilities surf. Not only is it a sport but a form of surf therapy – it is amazing to see the positive impact the ocean and catching waves has for a person. I will be traveling with the South African Adaptive Surfing Team to the ISA World Adaptive Surfing Champs taking place in La Jolla, California, USA. We earned ourselves an individual silver medal last year and TeamSA placed 6th overall in the world. Very honoured to be managing the team and witness inspiring people achieve their goals and push their boundaries.

What does a day in the life of Tasha look like?

I love to be up with the sun, it is when I feel the world is quietist and I can gather my thoughts and plan the day ahead. I always try fit in a beach session and since living in Cape Town, you can’t beat the sunsets over the ocean. I am currently working a full time job so my free time is now more valuable than ever, luckily I am managing the surfing portfolio and therefore my day is filled with all things surf related. My current project is to create the first sustainable professional surfing series along the coastline of South Africa.
